Every WMMA member must have a key contact who will receive all key contact mailings, including the annual dues invoice. The majority of WMMA information is communicated via e-mail. Please insure we have the name and e-mail address of your key contact. Additional contacts receive targeted communications on WMMA business function specific programs and services.

ANNUAL DUES

ACTIVE MANUFACTURING MEMBERSHIP (Annual Dues of $550)

Any individual, partnership, corporation or other form of enterprise which is a manufacturer, IN THE UNITED STATES, of products used in the fabrication or processing of wood or similar materials.

The following products sold to the woodworking industries:

  • Air compressors
  • Adhesives and bonding agents
  • Wood cutting tools and tooling systems
  • Lumber processing machinery and equipment
  • Woodworking accessories and supplies
  • Plastic materials and parts
  • Computers and manufacturing process controllers
  • Abrasives and abrasive belts
  • Woodworking machinery and equipment
  • Fastener installation equipment
  • Hardware and fasteners
  • Dust collection
  • Other (list product below)

Eligibility Requirements for Active Manufacturing Members
In considering an enterprise for Active Manufacturing Membership, the following terms used in Article IV of the Bylaws shall have the following meanings.

  1. A "manufacturer" means an enterprise which
    1. produces or assembles; and
    2. designs; and
    3. markets

  2. To manufacture "in the United States" means that the enterprise adds significant value through engagement in all three of the categories of activities described in "A" above in the United States or its territories.

  3. "Similar material," in the phrase "products used in the fabrication or processing of wood or similar materials" means materials such as some plastic or non-ferrous metals which can, in a commercially viable manner, be fabricated or processed by the products manufactured by Active Manufacturing Members of the Association.

  4. Such enterprise must be majority owned either by an individual, individuals, a corporation or a company which has its principal place of business in the U.S. and is organized under the laws of one of the states or territories of the United States of America.

Active Manufacturing Members shall have all of the privileges of membership and their representatives shall have the right to be Officers or Directors.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP (Annual Dues of $550)

Any individual, partnership, corporation or other form of enterprise headquartered in the United States, Canada or Mexico which:

  1. distributes/markets products to Active Manufacturing Members; or
  2. supports or supplies a product and/or service to the woodworking or related industries; or
  3. is a Canadian or Mexican manufacturer as defined in Active A.

In considering an enterprise for Associate Membership, the following categories or groups are those which the Board of Directors has preliminarily identified as likely to have a common interest with the Association:

  • A sales and marketing organization for products of Active Manufacturing Members:

    Sell to the following industries:

  • An individual, partnership, corporation or another form of enterprise which is a manufacturer in Canada or Mexico; of products used in the fabrication or processing of wood or similar materials.

    Including the following products sold to the woodworking industries:

    • Air compressors
    • Adhesives and bonding agents
    • Wood cutting tools and tooling systems
    • Lumber processing machinery and equipment
    • Woodworking accessories and supplies
    • Plastic materials and parts
    • Computers and manufacturing process controllers
    • Abrasives and abrasive belts
    • Woodworking machinery and equipment
    • Fastener installation equipment
    • Hardware and fasteners
    • Dust collection
    • Other (list product below)

Eligibility Requirements for Associate Members
In considering an enterprise for Associate Membership, the following categories or groups are those which the Board of Directors has preliminarily identified as likely to have a common interest with the Association.

  1. Sales and Marketing organizations engaged in the distribution of new products of Active Manufacturing Members.
  2. Consultants, trade publications and engineers to the wood products industries.
  3. Suppliers of products and services to the woodworking and related industries.
  4. Manufacturing organizations in Canada or Mexico.
    1. A "manufacturer" means an enterprise which
      1. produces or assembles; and
      2. designs; and
      3. markets
    2. To manufacture "in Canada" or "in Mexico" means that the enterprise is engaged in all three of the categories of activities described in "1" above in Canada or Mexico, respectively.
    3. "Similar material," in the phrase "products used in the fabrication or processing of wood or similar materials" means materials such as some plastic or non-ferrous metals which can, in a commercially viable manner, be fabricated or processed by the products manufactured by Active Manufacturing Members of the Association.

Associate Members shall have all of the rights and privileges of Active Manufacturing Members except that they cannot vote, chair a committee/task force or hold office in the Association. Associate Members can participate in Association Committees. Associate Members are also eligible for Member discounts on booth rentals at the Association-sponsored International Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Supply Fair — USA and other association related events or programs.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP (Annual Dues of $100)

Any individual, firm or corporation engaging in training and/or educating within the wood sciences field; and in consulting and/or engineering to the wood products and related industries and meeting such additional membership eligibility requirements, if any, as are adopted from time to time by the Board of Directors, shall be eligible for Affiliate Membership.

Eligibility Requirements for Affiliate Members
In considering an individual or enterprise for Affiliate Membership, the following categories or groups are those which the Board of Directors has preliminarily identified as likely to have a common interest with the Association:

  • Educators and educational institutions involved in training and educating in woodworking sciences and related fields, having educational facilities affiliated with:

Affiliate Members shall have all of the rights and privileges of Active Manufacturing Members except that they cannot vote, chair a committee/task force or hold office in the Association. Affiliate Members can participate in Association Committees. Affiliate Members are also eligible for Member discounts on booth rentals at the Association-sponsored International Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Supply Fair — USA and other association related events or programs.

Once your application has been approved, a dues invoice will be sent immediately to the key contact. Membership commences only after the application is completed, approved and dues are paid in full.
