Members drive the WMMA programs and services that have a positive impact on their businesses, the industry and U.S. manufacturing. A committee structure, comprised of interested and active leaders, professionals and executives from member companies, helps to channel the many ideas, areas and topics that members use to address the challenges of the global marketplace.ANSI (American National Standards Institute) (in blue)
WMMA serves as the secretariat of the Accredited Standards Committee O1 and together they comprise the consensus body which develops standards for the safe design, installation and use of woodworking and accessory equipment used in industrial and commercial applications, having a total connected power of 3.7kw (5hp) or greater, or having 3-phase wiring.Business Development
Mission: To provide identified management tools and information to member companies, which allow them to better develop their businesses. The Business Development Committee looks at the profit and cost sides of business; provides guidance to members in finding new sources of revenue; and supplies members with programs enabling increased efficiency and profitability.The Business Development Committee provides members with business tools and strategies in the form of sales leads programs, proprietary market research and economic forecast, online marketing assistance resources and assistance with capital equipment leasing, discount transportation and insurance programs.

Finance
The Finance Committee oversees the financials activities of the WMMA.International Business Development
Mission: The Committee serves to encourage and assist all members to successfully export, to increase export sales of those already exporting, and to take advantage of international business opportunities to strengthen their market positions in the U.S. and overseas. The committee develops literature to educate members about international markets and initiates programs to assist their marketing efforts outside the U.S. It acts as a steering committee for the holders of the WMMA Export Trade Certificate and as an advocate on issues which could affect the ability of members to compete internationally.The Committee programs has encompassed an International Strategies Strategic Initiative to assist members take advantage of the global economy by alerting members to foreign sourcing, joint ventures cross distribution and licensing.

Membership Services
Mission: To strengthen WMMA® membership participation, retention and recruitment by developing, implementing and supporting new and existing membership benefits. The Committee makes suggestions, observations, and recommendations about membership benefits and activities to the Board of Directors. It promotes existing membership benefits directly to the membership, and promotes our members products to the woodworking marketplace through advertising.The Membership Services Committee champions WMMA members at the biennial International Woodworking Fair with special events and promotions, champions the WMMA online Product Guide, and conducts other activities to enhance the WMMA brand.

Public Policy Committee
Mission: To oversee the activities of the WMMA® Legislative Counsel in representing the Association's position on legislative and regulatory matters affecting the industry, as well as keeping members informed of developments that will impact their businesses.The Public Policy Committee conducts an annual Public Policy Fly-In where members meet with their representatives in Washington, D.C., and partners with other groups, such as the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) and the National Association of Manufacturers' Council of Manufacturing Associations, to advocate for a strong and competitive U.S. manufacturing base.
